I "Looked Inside" on and though it would complement my Racing history books. It is a bit short on info and looks more like a compendium of short magazine articles than a true delve into th ehistory of American motor racing. More populist than technical but still a good beginner's overview of an A|About the Author|J.A. Martin has written features on motorsports for several newspapers and lives in Baltimore. Thomas F. Saal is a former editor of the newsletter for the Automotive Historical Society and lives in Lakewood, Ohio.
